We are researching the use of a citizen engagement site to help people by presenting issues and supporting questions to pose to the candidates. Here that means Mississauga’s municipal election — October 26, 2026. Not endorsements, not campaign coverage: questions about who decides what, under which rule, that a resident can put to any candidate.

It is being checked before release — by the one person running it, not by an editorial board. Most of it is assembled by an AI assistant working from public records under a written procedure, and nobody independent verifies a claim before it appears. What the site offers instead is traceability: a source on every claim, a visible rating of how well-supported it is, corrections made in the open, and a published log of its own mistakes.
